Atarot Airport Atarot Airport (IATA: JRS, ICAO: OJJR/LLJR) officially known Jerusalem International Airport, is a domestic-only airport in northern Jerusalem. It is named after Atarot, the area of Jerusalem it is located in, in the most northern section of the city. The airport no longer operates as a result of the current security situation and its proximity to areas heavily inhabited by Arabs, such as Ramallah. The airport has been under the control of Israeli Defence Force since 2001. The airport is sometimes shown with two different ICAO codes. The LL designator is used by ICAO for airports in Israel and OJ is the code for Jordan. |
